IlmQuest

Privacy Policy

How IlmQuest handles information.

Last updated: 1 November 2026

The IlmQuest website at illmquest.com is made by GENZ-SYNTAX Software Solutions, Pakistan ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the website uses, why, and the choices you have. The IlmQuest Android app is described in the privacy policy shown on its Google Play page.

Students: no account, no personal details

Students use IlmQuest without an account. We do not ask students for their name, email, phone number, school or age. The board and class a student chooses, practice answers, test results, starred formulas and settings are saved only in the browser on that device (browser storage such as IndexedDB and localStorage). They are not sent to us, and we cannot see them. Clearing the browser's site data for illmquest.com deletes them.

Teachers and staff

Teachers and subject experts invited by us sign in with Google so we can confirm their role. For signed-in staff we store their Google account email and display name, their role and the subjects they may review, and the review decisions they make, in Google Firebase. Staff can ask us to delete this information at any time (see Contact).

Content and service providers

The website uses no analytics or tracking tools of its own, and we do not sell any information.

Advertising and cookies

IlmQuest may show ads from Google AdSense to keep the service free. Ads are never shown on practice, test or result screens, or to signed-in staff. Because IlmQuest is used by school students, every ad request is tagged for child-directed treatment, which means Google shows only non-personalised, family-safe ads and does not build an advertising profile from visits to IlmQuest.

Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver ads, limit how often an ad is shown, and prevent fraud. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage ad settings at adssettings.google.com. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent where the law requires it.

Children

IlmQuest is made for secondary school students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The website is served only over HTTPS. Access to the database is controlled by security rules: the public can only read the published syllabus and questions; only approved staff can review or publish content.
